Anger Before Mercy

Jonah was deeply displeased when God showed mercy to Nineveh. His anger revealed a heart struggling to rejoice in grace given to others. This verse invites us to examine our own reactions when God forgives, blesses, or restores people we might rather judge. The Lord’s compassion is wider than our preferences. He patiently teaches us to love mercy, not merely when we receive it, but when it reaches our enemies too.
