Caught in the Net

Habakkuk describes oppressors catching people like fish, gathering them in nets, and rejoicing over their power. The image is painful because it shows how the wicked may celebrate control and exploitation. Yet the prophet’s complaint is spoken to God, not into emptiness. When injustice seems successful, bring your questions to the Lord. He sees the nets, the captives, and the boasting, and He will answer in His righteous time.
