When Devastation Comes

Joel 1:6 describes an invading force like a lion, strong and without number, bringing devastation upon the land. The prophet uses the crisis to awaken God’s people. Seasons of loss can expose how fragile our security really is. Yet the purpose of prophetic warning is not despair, but return. When destruction seems overwhelming, we are invited to humble ourselves, seek the Lord, and find mercy in the One who restores.
