Leaders Who Devour

Zephaniah describes corrupt princes as roaring lions and judges as evening wolves. Those entrusted to protect had become predators. God takes leadership seriously because power can either shelter the weak or consume them. This verse calls us to pray for righteous leaders and to examine any influence we hold. In God’s kingdom, authority is for service, justice, and care, never selfish appetite.
