Born of God, Changed Within

John describes the transforming power of being born of God. The believer is not made perfect in present experience, but sin no longer rules as a settled way of life. God’s seed remains within His children, producing new desires, repentance, and obedience. This verse calls us to take sin seriously while finding hope in God’s life at work in us. Grace does not excuse sin; it breaks its dominion.
