Compassion Through Weakness

Hebrews describes a priest who can deal gently with the ignorant and wandering because he too is surrounded by weakness. Awareness of our own frailty should make us compassionate, not proud. When others stumble, we remember how much mercy we have needed. This verse prepares us to appreciate Christ, who perfectly helps the weak. Having received grace, we are called to guide the wandering with patience and tenderness.
