Desires Shaped by Righteousness

Proverbs contrasts the desire of the righteous with the expectation of the wicked. Righteousness changes what we long for; it bends the heart toward good, mercy, and peace. Wickedness may expect gain, but its end is wrath. This verse invites us to bring our desires before God. What do we hope for? What do we pursue? In His presence, our wants can be purified into blessings.
