Beloved and Chosen by God

Paul speaks with assurance to the Thessalonian believers: they are beloved, and their election is of God. Before their works could define them, God’s grace had set love upon them. This truth is meant to humble and strengthen, not make us proud. If you belong to Christ, your life is held by divine mercy. Rest in being loved, and let that security produce faith, hope, holiness, and steadfast love.
