Turned to Serve the Living God

The Thessalonians’ conversion was visible: they turned from idols to serve the living and true God. Faith is not only a change of opinion, but a change of allegiance. Idols may promise control, comfort, or meaning, but they are lifeless. The gospel calls us to turn, receive mercy, and serve God with joyful devotion. He is living, true, and worthy of our whole lives.
