Discerned by the Spirit

Paul teaches that the natural person cannot receive the things of the Spirit, because they are spiritually discerned. God’s wisdom may appear foolish to a heart closed to Him. This should humble us, not make us proud. We need the Spirit to open our eyes, soften our resistance, and teach us Christ. Pray for spiritual understanding, and welcome God’s truth even when it challenges natural assumptions.
