Undistracted for the Commander

Paul compares the believer to a soldier who avoids entanglement so he may please the one who enlisted him. This does not mean neglecting ordinary responsibilities, but it does warn against being captured by lesser things. The Christian life requires focus, loyalty, and readiness. Many distractions appear harmless until they divide the heart. Ask the Lord to free you from unnecessary entanglements and renew your desire to please Christ above all.
