Stumbling Strength of Men

Nahum pictures warriors being summoned in haste, yet stumbling as they rush to defend the wall. Human strength can appear impressive, but under God’s judgment it becomes confused and unstable. The verse warns us not to place ultimate confidence in power, strategy, or reputation. Only the Lord is a secure refuge. When kingdoms shake and defenses fail, those who trust Him stand on firmer ground.
