The Violence God Judges

Nahum describes Nineveh like a lion filling dens with prey, strong through cruelty and satisfied by violence. The image exposes a kingdom built on exploitation. God sees what the powerful take, store, and defend by force. This verse warns that unchecked greed and oppression are not hidden from the Lord. He will confront predatory strength, and His justice will answer the cries of the wounded.
