God Speaks Through the Ordinary

Amos was a herdsman from Tekoa, yet God gave him words concerning Israel. The Lord is not limited to the powerful, polished, or expected. He can speak through ordinary people in ordinary places, with messages that shake nations. Amos’s setting also reminds us that God’s word enters real history, in specific times and circumstances. Be attentive: the Lord may call and use faithful servants right where they are.
