A Sobering Judgment

Isaiah’s image of unquenched fire and lasting waste is a solemn warning about God’s judgment. Sin, pride, and rebellion are not small matters before the Holy One. Yet such warnings are given in mercy, calling people to turn before destruction comes. This verse invites reverence, repentance, and trust in the Lord’s salvation. God’s justice is real, and so is His gracious call to return.
