Beyond Impressive Stones

In Mark 13:1, the disciple marvels at the temple’s magnificent stones and buildings. Jesus will soon redirect attention from earthly grandeur to eternal truth. We too can be impressed by what appears strong, beautiful, and permanent. Yet even the greatest human structures cannot compare with God’s kingdom. Let your heart admire what is holy, but never place ultimate confidence in what time can shake.
