A Soul Grieved by Sin

Lot’s righteous soul was troubled daily by the evil around him. This verse reminds us that belonging to God changes what we can comfortably accept. We may live in a world filled with lawless words and deeds, but we need not become numb to them. Ask the Lord for a tender conscience, not a bitter spirit, and for grace to remain faithful while surrounded by what grieves His heart.
