Strength and Its Shadows

Judges 8:21 shows Gideon acting with the strength expected of a warrior, yet the scene is heavy with judgment and human violence. Victory can bring its own temptations, including the desire to take trophies and be exalted. This verse urges us to examine what we do after success. May God keep our strength submitted to Him, free from pride and revenge.
