No Room for Favoritism

James speaks plainly: showing partiality is sin. God’s law exposes favoritism because it denies the equal dignity of people made in His image and needing His grace. The church is called to welcome without flattery, prejudice, or social ranking. When we honor the poor, the overlooked, and the different, we reflect the heart of Christ. Mercy teaches us to see others as God sees them.
