Beware Loving Preeminence

Diotrephes loved first place so much that he refused faithful servants of God. His example warns us that pride can hide inside religious activity. Leadership in Christ’s church is never about control, attention, or personal importance. True greatness receives others, honors truth, and serves humbly. Ask the Lord to guard your heart from needing preeminence, and to make you glad when Christ, not self, is exalted.
