Strong and Faithful Lord

The psalmist marvels at the Lord God of hosts, asking who is strong like Him and surrounded by faithfulness. God’s power is never separated from His trustworthiness. He is mighty enough to rule all things and faithful enough to keep every promise. This combination steadies the soul. We do not pray to a distant force, but to the strong Lord whose steadfast faithfulness encircles all His ways.
