Clothed in Heavenly Blue

The robe of the ephod was to be all blue, a color that lifts the eye heavenward. In Israel’s worship, even clothing preached holiness, beauty, and nearness to God. The priest did not approach casually; he came clothed according to God’s design. This reminds us that worship is not self-made. In Christ, our great High Priest, we are covered with righteousness not our own and invited to draw near.
