Sorrow Before the King

Nehemiah could not hide his sorrow, and when the king noticed, fear rose in him. His sadness was not selfish; it came from love for God’s broken city. Sometimes holy burdens show on our faces before they become prayers, plans, and action. God can open doors even in frightening conversations. Bring your sorrow of heart to Him, and ask for courage to speak when the moment comes.
