Praying With Pure Motives

James teaches that unanswered prayer may reveal not God’s unwillingness, but our misplaced desires. We can ask wrongly when prayer becomes a tool for selfish pleasure rather than surrender to God’s will. The Lord lovingly searches our motives, not to shame us, but to purify us. True prayer seeks His glory, His wisdom, and His kingdom. As our hearts align with Him, our asking becomes more faithful.
