When Labor Feels Empty

Ecclesiastes speaks honestly of a heart tempted to despair over labor under the sun. Work, achievement, and effort can feel empty when viewed apart from God. This verse gives language to weariness many silently carry. Yet Scripture’s honesty is itself a mercy, inviting us to bring disillusionment before the Lord. Meaning is not found in toil alone, but in fearing God, receiving His gifts, and living for what endures.
