Called to Come Near

Jesus goes up the mountain and calls those He desired, and they come to Him. Discipleship begins not with human achievement, but with His gracious call. He chooses, invites, and draws people near before sending them out. This verse comforts us with the personal nature of Christ’s calling. We do not force our way into His presence; we answer His voice, come close, and learn to follow.
