Joel’s promise points to a God who does not leave guilt, violence, or uncleanness unanswered. He alone can cleanse what has remained stained and restore what sin has defiled. The hope is not merely forgiveness from afar, but God’s own presence dwelling among His people. When the Lord is in Zion, holiness, mercy, and restoration meet. We can come to Him trusting that His cleansing is complete.
