Samuel calls the people together unto the Lord at Mizpeh. Before decisions are made and leaders are recognized, the nation must stand in God’s presence. This verse reminds us that community life should be centered on the Lord, not merely on human plans. When God’s people gather, it is an opportunity to listen, repent, worship, and be realigned with His purposes.
