Edom refused Israel passage, and Israel turned away. Sometimes the path we hoped to take is blocked by another’s resistance or by circumstances beyond our control. This verse quietly teaches patience and restraint. Not every closed road is a call to fight. God can lead His people by another way. When disappointed, seek His direction, keep peace where possible, and trust that His guidance is not hindered.
