The Shepherd Who Provides

To say the Lord is my shepherd is to admit I am a sheep — prone to wander, unable to defend myself, dependent on a keeper.

The comfort of this psalm is not that we are strong, but that our Shepherd is. What we lack, he supplies. Where we cannot go, he leads.
