Following the Suffering Christ

Peter tells believers that suffering for righteousness is part of their calling, because Christ suffered for us and left an example. Jesus did not merely teach from a distance; He walked the path of pain, patience, and obedience first. To follow His steps is to trust the Father when wronged, endure without bitterness, and love faithfully. His suffering saves us, and His example shapes us.
