Assurance by the Spirit

John gives believers a tender assurance: we know we dwell in God, and He in us, because He has given us His Spirit. Our confidence does not rest on feelings alone, but on God’s gracious presence within His people. The Spirit teaches, comforts, convicts, and bears witness to Christ. When doubts arise, remember that God does not keep His children far away. He makes His home with them.
