Joy Needs Deep Roots

Jesus describes those who receive the word with immediate gladness, yet the soil is stony. Joy at hearing God’s truth is good, but it must grow into rooted faith. Emotional beginnings need patient obedience, prayer, and surrender. Ask the Lord to break up the hard places in your heart. His word is not meant to rest on the surface, but to sink deeply and bear lasting fruit.
