Peace Provokes Opposition

Gibeon’s peace with Joshua stirred hostility from surrounding kings. Making peace with God’s people can invite opposition from those who resist God’s purposes. This reminds us that obedience may not remove conflict; sometimes it reveals it. Yet it is better to stand under God’s covenant than remain safe among His enemies. When peace with God costs us earthly comfort, His protection and faithfulness remain worth it.
