The Direction of the Heart

Ecclesiastes contrasts the wise and foolish by the direction of the heart. Wisdom is more than clever speech or outward success; it is an inward orientation toward what is right, steady, and God-honoring. Folly begins when the heart leans away from truth. Each day, small choices reveal where we are inclined. We need the Lord to guide our desires, train our judgment, and keep our hearts walking in wisdom.
