Beware Smooth Deceptions

Isaiah 30:10 exposes a heart that rejects truth and asks for comfortable lies. The people did not want right things; they wanted smooth things. We face the same temptation when God’s Word confronts our sin, pride, or plans. Love does not always sound easy, but truth heals where flattery destroys. Ask God for courage to receive faithful correction. Better a hard word from Him than a pleasant deception that leads away.
