Victory Through God

David speaks of enemies so thoroughly defeated they cannot rise. For the believer, this points us to the Lord’s power to overcome what threatens His purposes. Our battles may be spiritual, inward, or circumstantial, but God is not weak before them. We do not boast in cruelty or strength of flesh; we give thanks that the Lord can bring down what rises against His will.
