God Restrain the Violent

The psalmist cries for God to break the teeth of the wicked, picturing violent people as young lions ready to devour. This prayer is raw, but it entrusts justice to God rather than personal revenge. When evil threatens, we may honestly ask the Lord to stop harm, disarm cruelty, and protect the vulnerable. His justice is our refuge.
