Nations Before God

Isaiah 40:17 reminds us that even the nations, with all their armies, wealth, and influence, are as nothing before the Lord. This is not meant to belittle people, but to magnify God’s incomparable greatness. Powers that intimidate us are small in His sight. Take comfort: history is not held by rulers or empires, but by the eternal God who reigns.
