God Summons The Nations

Isaiah describes the Lord lifting a signal to distant nations, and they come swiftly at His call. History is not beyond God’s command. Peoples, powers, and events move under His sovereign hand, even when His purposes are severe. This should sober us and comfort us. The Lord is not passive before human pride. He calls, gathers, warns, and acts. Therefore, listen quickly when He raises His banner.
