Hear the Beloved Son

On the mountain, the Father’s voice identifies Jesus: His beloved Son, in whom He is well pleased. Then comes the command, “Hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5 centers our faith on Christ above every other voice. The glory, the cloud, and the divine approval all point to Him. Discipleship begins and continues by listening to Jesus—receiving His words, trusting His authority, and letting His voice shape our lives.
