Receiving the Promised Land

Moses recalls the land possessed and distributed to the Reubenites and Gadites. This careful record shows that God’s promises take shape in real places, histories, and inheritances. The Lord had brought His people through battle and given them a portion. Remembering His past faithfulness strengthens present obedience. What God assigns, receive with gratitude; what He promises, trust Him to fulfill in His wise time.
