Costly Help Without God

Second Chronicles 25:6 describes a king hiring mighty men of Israel for a great sum of silver. The verse invites reflection on where we seek strength. Human resources can look impressive, but help purchased without seeking God may become a snare. Before trusting numbers, talent, or money, we should ask whether the Lord is leading. Victory is safest when dependence rests on Him.
