Prayer from the Depths

Jonah prayed from the belly of the fish, a place of darkness, confinement, and consequence. Yet even there, the Lord was still his God. This verse gives hope to anyone who feels trapped by failure or fear. No place is too deep for prayer, and no circumstance can silence a repentant heart. God hears cries from unlikely places and begins mercy where we may expect only judgment.
