The Tree of Judgment

Deuteronomy speaks of a severe judgment for one worthy of death and hanged on a tree. Later Scripture helps us see the solemn shadow pointing to Christ, who bore the curse for sinners. This verse reminds us that sin is serious and judgment is real. Yet it also prepares our hearts to marvel at the Savior’s love: Jesus took shame and death so that guilty people might receive life.
